Seaway Wastewater Treatment Plant

In general this project consists of the upgrade and expansion of the Seaway Wastewater Treatment Plant with associated equipment, piping, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, potable water, electrical power distribution and electrical control system.

Procon Constructors Inc. was contracted to supply and install the Electrical and Mechanical works of this project.

The Mechanical work consists of the retrofit of the existing aeration tanks with associated equipment and piping, installation of 3 new primary clarifiers and pump gallery, removal of the existing headworks and installation of new blowers with ancillary equipment, modification of RAS / WAS piping in the aeration gallery and the installation of chemical systems for chlorination and de-chlorination.

The Electrical work consists of the removal of the primary transformer and switchgear, installation of a new 2000kva transformer and 4000A primary switchgear. Supply and installation of 4 new MCC’s and ATS, power and control wiring for numerous pumps and control devices, lighting and fire alarm system.
